Is there a cost for using the Makerspace?

The Makerspace is free to use. During Makerspace Open Hours, the following supplies will be available. For Spring Semester 2020, materials are free while supplies last! However, if you are working on a very large project (10+ pieces of material), we ask that you purchase your own materials. Makerspace staff can give you information on where to purchase materials. *

  • 3D Printer Filament
  • Adhesive Vinyl (12"x12")
  • Cardstock (12"x12")
  • MDF (½”, ¼”, or ⅛”)
  • Acrylic Sheets
  • Soft Maple (½”, ⅛”, or 1/16”)
  • Walnut (½”, ⅛”, or 1/16”)

*These supplies are provided for your convenience. While we attempt to provide a variety of materials for you, we do not guarantee that any material or color of material will be in stock at any given time. Free materials are for use in the Makerspace with the equipment provided. For projects requiring large numbers of materials (10+ combined pieces of acrylic, vinyl, cardstock, or wood OR 50+ grams of 3D filament), we ask that you provide your own materials. Makerspace staff can provide you with information on recommended materials and suppliers.
