Q. Can visiting scholars at Miami University access library materials and resources?

Yes. If you have a Miami University unique ID and password and a university-issued ID card, you may borrow library materials and use library resources as per the library policies at http://www.lib.miamioh.edu/policies.

If you are affiliated with or sponsored by a department and working on a university-affiliated project while off campus, you may ask that department to request a University Courtesy Account for you. Courtesy Accounts allow you to access the Libraries' electronic resources. The Libraries cannot initiate, maintain, or renew Courtesy Account requests on your behalf; you must contact the department you are affiliated with and the Department's Dean or Department Chair must request or renew an account through IT Services for you. This is true for all visiting scholars and for researchers and faculty affiliated with programs like Project Dragonfly.
